AT THE BEGINNING

Sylvie Maréchal started with a background in medicine and then gained professional experience in the fashion industry (Louis Vuitton, Galeries Lafayette).

In 2003, she began creating innovative designer lighting. In 2004, at the Maison & Objet trade show, the Smoon lamp became her first collection of rechargeable LED wireless lamps, which she patented. In 2005, she partnered with two other designers and founded Beau & Bien, a company specializing in light sculptures. It bears a beautiful ‘Made in France’ signature, defined by her as an DNA comprising three words: innovation, functionality, aesthetics.

Her inspiration

Since 2005, the brand founded by Sylvie Maréchal has been sculpting light and harnessing the best of innovative LED technology.

Our designer lighting fixtures are functional and striking, grouped into various collections that highlight French craftsmanship using materials such as Limoges porcelain, blown glass, glass paste, alabaster, and more.

Our bespoke lighting combines French craftsmanship and LED technology for unique creations tailored to prestigious venues such as opera houses, palaces, and hotels.

Sustainability

All Beau&Bien collections are made in France and designed to be repairable, aiming to minimize carbon footprint.

Our lighting fixtures combine eco-design, French craftsmanship, and LED technology for innovative low-consumption lighting. They suspend illuminated pieces using thin cables, providing longevity and efficiency. Our bespoke products are crafted in France in an eco-responsible manner, thereby reducing the carbon footprint.
